Inspired by the math whiz Anand Kumar, who has seen an impressive success rate for IIT admissions year after year with his batch of 'Super 30' children, the film portrays his inspiring journey as a fictional storey. A life of conflict and struggle, Anand (Hrithik Roshan) practically emerges from the ruins to mould his dreams. The article does not touch on any of the conflicts involving Anand Kumar that have been published in the newspapers, concentrating only on his struggles and fame.
Son of a postman, Anand, a young man, has been admitted to Cambridge University due to his brilliant career in mathematics. But as he needs to let go of this chance of his life merely because he is unable to pay the payments, life strikes him hard and kills his heart. But that doesn't last too long because Lallanji (Aditya Srivastava) has been chosen to become a math teacher for the well-to-do students at the IIT coaching centre run by him. But eventually, his true calling and ambition will catch up with him and he knows that he must use his abilities to give less fortunate, bright students a decent chance in life.
