Joker is a movie about Arthur Fleck ( brilliantly acted by \Joaquin Phoneix\) who had some psychopathic tendencies but due to deteriorating conditions of Gotham city and certain events that took place in the span of the movie leads him to lose it completely and become the villain we all know as Joker. This standalone DC comic book film did a great job in portraying the story of an ordinary man turning into the clown prince of crime. It is also one of the darkest and most horrifying DC movies ever. The film didn\t feel like a typical comic book movie but rather a film about the real-life struggles of mental illnesses and the constant struggles between the upper class and the underprivileged ones. <br>The movie successfully portrays that not every villain is responsible for the way they are because sometimes it is the society that drives them crazy. I would say this is a must-watch movie and I definitely recommend it.

In this portrayal of Joker Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix have done an amazing job in finding the depth of the character Joker and show us all about his past and gives us a good knowledge about why he spiraled into sadness and crime. His story from Rags to Popularity, portrayal of the society are somethings to keep in mind while watching this movie. The direction of this movie is also one of the best.

Joker is a dark, subversive and absorbing story of the well known DC Comics villain. It explores the may shades of malevolence without a trace of Batman. It shows the transformation of a sad and pathetic man into a dark and powerful being and deals with all the emotions that are attached with that transformation. It beautifully shows how anxiety and nihilism can come from the great evils of our society - poverty and systemic oppression.

Dark as hell, Joker takes you on the terrifying journey of Arthur Fleck, from becoming a clown and a want to be a stand-up comic (with just one joke in his hand) to being THE JOKER, but this journey never appeared unreal, unlike that of a hulk or a spiderman. This trip was very human, rational and wonderfully graphed and captured.

Heath Ledger from The Dark Knight was my favourite joker to date, and Joaquin Phoenix brought Heath's legacy to another dimension, that chuckle, that dance, that run, that stroll, you can't get over that.

Talking about the other aspects of the film, the background music was the soul of the film, if not the psyche and crazy of the joker himself, the cinematography, the funding of the film, the direction, all was right about money, the film dealt quite cleverly with the condition of America at the time (the Gotham city). Unemployment, growing influence in the hands of the wealthy. It was all about a stand and a speech (be it good or bad) against the existing authority to become the 'HERO,' which has further become the justification for the growth in murders and crime in the region.
