This is the part of X-Men movies. It starts with X-men facing their most formidable and powerful foe when one of their own, Jean Grey, starts go out of control in an outer space rescue mission, Jean is nearly killed when she's hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful but far more unstable. Then there are shapeshifters and a truck load of packed action in the scenes and an exceptional use of VFX .Overall it is a fairly good sci fi movie .

X-Men: Dark Phoenix definitely has some pacing issues & you could tell the production issues & postponements have somewhat affected it. As a result, it doesn’t even belong in the same converWhat also makes this movie work is the theme of taking responsibility for your past & facing the consequences. Charles Xavier & Jean themselves being the two best examples that spring to mind. I like that the story dealt more with ethical dilemmas and consequences of decisions made, in particular with how Xavier’s relationship with Jean leads to the main action within the film.sation at First Class or Days of Future Past.

Dark Phoenix would sound familiar in sections mainly because the storyline is very similar to X-Men: The Last Stand, which Jean Gray already had in the same avatar. But I'm not going to suggest that you should expect a brand new storey here but the presentation is what works big time. It captures the audience from the opening dialogue to the very last moment with its high paced screenplay and well-executed nonstop action.
Sophie Turner's performance as Jean Gray stands out. James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are both doing impressively as expected. Jessica Chastain's character should be considered a welcome addition to the X-Men series even if we will not see it again. I wish those characters were used to the fullest, including Storm and a couple of others, but with time I didn't care about it any more.
Visual effects are of the greatest level. You will see the film in 3D and the best definition possible if you want to see it in the first place. This is first and foremost an adventure picture, it doesn't neglect to offer all the superhero action fans they want. That ought to be enough to witness this cool summer blockbuster on the big screen at least once.
