URI-The Surgical strike- A fitting tribute to the Indian army.
The movie begins with a terrorist camp near the Myanmar border which has to be destroyed, where Vihaan (Vicky Kaushal) leads the team, to get the job done. Later Vihaan plans to get retirement from the Indian army, to take care of his ailing mother. PM doesn't want to part with him, so gets him a job in the back office. Then Pakistan attacks Uri ( J&K ) and surprisingly enters an Indian military post which is unauthorized trespassing. Later India plans to retaliate with a surgical strike.
The story runs perfectly in the movie. It's hard to believe that Uri is the debut movie of the director, Aditya Dhar, as he has done a commendable job. His screenplay shot selection and every angle are just superb. Yami Gautam and Kirti in the army, in the special force....small roles, but impressive.
Some emotional scenes were added in between, which were required to make it a complete movie watching for the viewer.
